4th Direction Point: Pray and Practice

Closing reflection –

God has created the entire creation in goodness; it was and is meant to be declared “and it was good.”  Both men and women were created as full equals and meant to play a full and equal part in tending the Garden.  As humans, we are special to God in that we have been given the power to be co-creators with God.  We pray that we take this awesome responsibility as the sacred trust to be divine caretakers in the spirit in which it was given us.

Prayer -

Lord God, we can do nothing but praise you as the almighty Creator that has brought all things into being.  As your co-creators and tenders of your garden, we confess that we have not been as faithful and trustworthy in the task as you intended for us to be.  We beg your forgiveness and patience with us.  We thank you that you have planted within us the spirit of life and the desire to both redeem and to be redeemed.  We ask that your guiding spirit of wisdom be with us this day as we attempt to cultivate Eden once more.  Alleluia.  Amen.
