Boy Scout Troop 49
Whitney United Methodist Church has proudly sponsored Boy Scout Troop 49 continuously since 1953, over 55 years! Troop 49 is a non-denominational community troop, and meets in the Education Building at Whitney UMC every Tuesday from 7:00pm - 8:30pm. Boy Scouts of America
The purpose of the Boy Scouts of America, incorporated on February 8, 1910, and chartered by Congress in 1916, is to provide an educational program for boys and young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness.
